Joseph "Cibey" John

Joseph John also lovingly known as Cibey was the son of the late John "Joy" George and Mrs. Thresiamma John.  He was born in Bronx, New York on March 7, 1978.  Cibey and his older brother John John also known as Abey were raised in the Bronx were Cibey attented Mount St. Michael Academy.  Cibey graduated Mount St. Michael in June of 1997.  From there he attented John Jay College.  Cibey motivated by a desire to serve the community from where he grew up, chose to attend the New York City Police Academy.  He graduated from the academy in January of 2004.  Cibey served at both the 43rd and 46th Precincts located in the Bronx where he served the community for the past three years as a member of the New York City Police Department.  On July 1st, 2007, Cibey married Preeta Persaud.  Cibey was called to heaven on December 5th, 2007.  He is survived by his mother, Thresiamma John; brother, Johnson John; sister-in-law Janet John,  cousins and loving nephews and nieces.  He's also survived by his close friends and brothers in blue.  Though Cibey may have passed on, his infectious smile, his sense of humor, his loyalty, his genuine love, and countless other attributes have made a loving imprint on each and every one of our hearts.  Cibey will never be forgotten, and he will be cherished forever.
